New West Englewood Homes provides 12 large family units of permanent supportive housing for chronically homeless families with a head of household that has a documented chronic substance abuse disability. The units were developed on a vacant parcel adjacent to Clara’s Village, also developed by IHDC. Social service and property management staff have offices in the 28-unit building right next door which is  easily accessible to the residents of New West Englewood Homes.

This development consists of two newly constructed 6-flats (all three-bedrooms) located side-by-side with off street parking behind each building. As with all supportive housing units developed by Interfaith Housing, several "green" elements are included in the design.
