CRESSEY HOUSE, at 1668 West Ogden Avenue, was developed in partnership with Cathedral Shelter of Chicago, which has a long history of service to residents of the Near West Side. Its 27 apartments serve individuals and families recovering from addiction. Supportive services include counseling, case management, wellness programs, and emergency food, clothing and furniture. Cathedral Shelter also created linkage agreements with other agencies to provide medical and mental health care, education, job training and placement assistance and day care. Cressey House opened in its doors in March, 1998.
