Celebrating Over 20 Years of creating special needs housing!
Since 1992, IHDC has created 13 developments in a variety of communties, producing over 600 units of supportive housing that more than 700 men, women and children now call home. These units house families overcoming chronic substance use, women who were formerly incarcerated, individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS, homeless veterans, "grand-families" and the elderly.

IHDC works with faith- and community-based organizations, acting as partner and pathfinder in the ever-changing and complicated world of urban housing development. IHDC provides implementation planning tools, expertise and the long-term commitment necessary to create permanent solutions to homelessness in Chicago.
